Toronto – September 30, 2016 – Brandy Lane Homes is working with the City of Toronto and Hydro One after Hydro One’s crews recently cut down 29 Norway Maple trees without prior permission or consultation in Robertson Davies Park.
Brandy Lane Homes is currently developing The Davies Condominiums, a nine storey building of 41 residences, north of Robertson Davies Park on Avenue Road at Cottingham Street. Brandy Lane Homes is a respected GTA developer with a well-earned reputation for creating high quality, design-driven and livable homes.
“I have had positive conversations with Ward 22 Councillor Josh Matlow and together with the City of Toronto and through community meetings and discussions, we are formulating a plan of revitalizing the Park in the wake of this most disappointing development,” said David Hirsh, President of Brandy Lane Homes.
Brandy Lane Homes is moving aggressively to assist in rectifying this Hydro One error. They have retained award-winning landscape designer NAK Design Strategies to enhance the look of the north side of Robertson Davies Park, and expect to work with the City and Hydro One to ensure the south side of the Park is aligned with NAK’s design vision for the north side.
“We will work with the City and area residents to achieve the best possible solution going forward for Robertson Davies Park, so it continues to be an important neighbourhood amenity,” said Hirsh.
